What does a wedding photographer in Lower Austria cost?
In 2026 a wedding photographer in Lower Austria costs between € 690 for four hours of photo coverage and € 2,540 for ten hours with photo and film. At NKLS Multimedia in Krems, drone footage is included in every wedding package; as a small business, no VAT applies.
Key facts
- Photography only: € 690 (4 hours) to € 1,640 (10 hours).
- Photo and film combined: € 1,390 (4 hours) to € 2,540 (10 hours).
- All prices are final — no VAT (§ 6 (1) no. 27 Austrian VAT Act).
- Drone footage is included in every wedding package, and every film uses licensed music.
What makes up the price
The biggest lever is duration. A registry-office ceremony with a couple shoot afterwards is told in four hours. A church wedding with getting ready, reception, dinner and dancing needs eight to ten hours — well over twice the work on the day itself.
The second lever is post-production, and it is regularly underestimated. Every hour on location adds roughly two hours of selection, developing and retouching. Add a film and the ratio shifts further: a five-minute highlight film is cut from several hours of footage.
The third lever is scope: second photographer, drone, sneak peek within 48 hours, printed album. In my packages, drone and music licensing are already included — a second photographer is an add-on.
Why VAT distorts the comparison
When comparing quotes, read the fine print: some providers quote net prices with 20 % VAT still to be added. € 2,000 net becomes € 2,400 gross. I am a small business under § 6 (1) no. 27 of the Austrian VAT Act — the price quoted is the final price, nothing is added.
Travel within Lower Austria
From Rohrendorf near Krems, the Kremstal, Wachau and Kamptal are local. For weddings in Vienna, the Weinviertel, Mostviertel or Bucklige Welt a transparent travel fee applies, itemised in the quote — never a hidden line item after the event.
